Chiropractors in Lancaster | What to Expect
Your First Visit
Your first visit will begin with the completion of New Patient forms. Or we offer our paperwork online so you can complete it in the convenience of your own home.
Then you will receive a consultation with a staff member. This involves a brief discussion regarding your insurance coverage and a review of your Application for Care/Consultation form.
Upon completion of the consultation, if you wish to proceed with care, you will then be moved to an examination room and the doctor, with your permission, will perform the exam.
Your Second Visit
On your second visit, known as the Report of Findings, Lancaster chiropractor, Dr. Grilliot or Dr. DePietro will explain your condition and diagnosis. A Treatment Plan will also be recommended.
You will also meet with someone from the Financial Department to discuss your financial obligations and review the proposed Treatment Plan in detail.
Regular Visits
Please sign in at the front desk on each and every visit.
The receptionist will inform you to either sit in the reception area or go directly to the appropriate treatment room. You will be given your "Travel Card". Place it in the holder on the outside of the door. If you wear eye glasses, please place them in the eye glass holder. Then, either sit or lie down on the table in your treatment position as previously recommended by the doctor. Try to relax.
The treatment time for the adjustment and manipulation therapy typically takes between 1-3 minutes. Physical therapy and rehabilitation will range from 8-30 minutes based upon your treatment needs. Most visits involving treatment and therapy take approximately 20-30 minutes. Extra time may be needed when additional exercises for muscle re-education are given.
After treatment, please return your "Travel Card" to the front desk and be sure to confirm your next appointment. Pre-scheduling appointments is always welcome and allows for less of a wait at the front desk, or take advantage of our EXPRESS Check-Out program.
Fairfield Spine Center also offers FLEXIBLE SCHEDULING. With this scheduling option you do not have to schedule a specific time for your appointment. We have open windows of time in which you are free to arrive at your convenience. Our receptionist can explain this option to you.
